Classic Banana Bread: Wholesome. Sweet. Perfect.

Soft, tender, and loaded with the rich flavor of ripe bananas, this Classic Banana Bread is a timeless recipe that’s easy to make and hard to resist. Crafted with either our Organic Pastry Flour or our Organic All-Purpose Flour, it’s a treat that’s perfect for breakfast, dessert, or an anytime snack.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Farm2Flour Pastry Flour or All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 3 large ripe bananas, mashed
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt or buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

  2. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together Farm2Flour Pastry Flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, eggs, sugar, melted butter, yogurt (or buttermilk), and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and well combined.

  4. Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients: Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing just until combined. Avoid over-mixing to keep the bread tender.

  5. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  6. Cool & Serve: Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy warm with butter!
