Ingredients:

    • 1 cup whole milk (warm)
    • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (sliced & softened)
    • 1 large egg (lightly beaten). Not an extra large or jumbo egg
    • 3 cups (360g) Farm2Flour All Purpose Flour
    • β…“ cup light brown sugar, packed. For less sweet bread, use 2 tablespoons instead of β…“.
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon bread machine yeast. Not active dry yeast

    Directions:

    1. Add ingredients to the bread machine: Layer the ingredients in the bread machine in the order listed, starting with warm milk, softened butter, lightly beaten egg, Farm2Flour All-Purpose Flour, light brown sugar, salt, and bread machine yeast.

    2. Select settings: Choose the Basic Bread setting on your bread machine, select a 1.5 lb or 2 lb loaf size, and pick either Light or Medium crust depending on your preference. Hit start and let the bread machine complete its cycle, which includes kneading, rising, and baking.

    3. Cool & Slice: Once the cycle is complete, carefully remove the loaf from the machine and let it cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

    4. Storage: Store any leftover bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze slices for longer storage.
