Ingredients

Rolls:

  • 2 ½ cups Farm2Flour Bread Flour
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 2 tbsp salted butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)

Garlic Butter Topping:

  • 3 tbsp salted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

Directions

  1. Make the Dough: In a stand mixer bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

  2. Add Wet Ingredients: Add melted butter and egg, stirring to combine.

  3. Mix in Dry Ingredients: Gradually add bread flour and salt, mixing with a dough hook for about 5 minutes or until the dough is soft but slightly tacky. If too sticky, add 1 tbsp flour at a time, mixing well after each addition. Finally, add the shredded cheese and mix just until combined.

  4. First Rise: Lightly grease a bowl with extra light olive oil and place the dough inside. Cover with a slightly damp towel and let rest for 30 minutes in a warm place.

  5. Shape the Rolls: Punch down the dough and divide into 12 pieces. Roll each into a ball and place in a greased baking dish.

  6. Second Rise: Cover and let rise for 15 minutes.

  7. Bake: Brush with garlic butter and bake at 375°F for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown.

  8. Finish: Brush with more garlic butter after baking. Serve warm!
